 165 Courtland Street NE
 Atlanta GA 30303
Topic:The 40th SABR Annual Convention

The Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) was established in Cooperstown, New York in August, 1971. Their mission is to foster the study of baseball past and present, and to provide an outlet for educational, historical and research information about the game.

This will be the first time SABR has held a convention in Atlanta, and the Magnolia Chapter is working hard to put together a great program.

Call for Papers:

All SABR members are invited to present their research findings to their colleagues attending SABR40 in Atlanta. Oral presentations are expected to last 20 minutes, followed by a five minute question-and-answer period. Abstracts covering all aspects of baseball research are welcomed.

Hotel Info:

For the convention, SABR has negotiated a rate of $129/night plus tax at the Sheraton Downtown Hotel.

City Highlights:

If you could manage to pull yourself away from SABR 39, being held at the J.W. Marriott hotel in the heart of downtown Washington, you would find yourself within walking distance of the White House, the Treasury Building, many of the Smithsonian Institution museums, the National Mall, the National Press Building -- and the Metro subway system, which can take you to dozens of other sites of interest in the metropolitan area.
