Jackie Robinson's daughter Sharon has captivated readers with her memoir Stealing Home (Harper Colllins Publishers, 1996), her recounting of growing up in the public eye, and Jackie’s Nine (Scholastic, 2001), a book for young readers about the nine heartfelt, hard-won values that helped her father, Jackie Robinson, achieve his goals, romance novel, Still The Storm (Genesis Press, 2002). Her photographic biography for children, Promises to Keep: How Jackie Robinson Changed America (Scholastic, 2004) received rave reviews. Safe At Home, her first fiction novel for young readers (Scholastic, 2006). And Slam Dunk, her first venture into basketball and its impact on youth (Scholastic, 2007).
This site was created at the University of Massachusetts after a year long program celebrating the life of Robinson. Vintage photographs and presidential documents are included. Also educational archives, videos and course materials from two classes taught at the University.
