All conferences are scheduled to include scholarly presentations, an educational forum, a professional baseball game, a trivia contest, players panel, authors panel, with visits to local historic places. Each year monies are targeted for:
1. Donate books to schools or libraries.
2. Raise funds to purchase headstones for unmarked graves of player.
3. Award scholarships to High School Seniors for the best essays.
4. Nationwide Art Contest

MISSION STATEMENT:
The purpose of the JERRY MALLOY NEGRO LEAGUE CONFERENCE is to encourage the study and research of African American baseball and its influence on society, sports history, and racial barriers. The Conference promotes activities to enhance scholarly, educational, and literary objectives.
This is America's ORIGINAL Negro League Conference and the only symposium since 1998 dedicated exclusively to the examination of black baseball history.

The Robert Peterson Recognition Award: for bodies of work that increase public awareness on the Negro Leagues.
The John Coates Next Generation Award: for recognition of outstanding achievement and dedication by newcomers to the research field.
The Normal “Tweed” Webb Lifetime Achievement: to recognize long-term contributions to the field of Negro League research.
The Fay Vincent Most Valuable Partner (MVP): for the conference contributor with the greatest impact towards a successful conference.
