The True Black History Museum
Certified Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Professional. Fred J. Saffold III is the Founder and Director of the True Black History Museum (TBHM) – A traveling Black History exhibit with vintage artifacts dating from the late 1600's to the 21st century. Founded in 2010, the TBHM was established to preserve the history of African Americans and to educate others of the many rich contributions that African Americans made to humanity. The mission is to instill self-esteem and pride, and to increase knowledge, awareness, cultural sensitivity and understanding for the historic experience of Black Americans.
Mr. Saffold is a member of numerous national civic organizations, including the NAACP and the Urban League. He is a board member for the Michigan Chapter of Negro League Players.
